Introduction
Hello, my name is Pete Meinberg.
My family and I have been members of this Hartford community since coming here in 1996. I had the pleasure of being Hartford’s swim coach and then in 1997 I took on the responsibilities of teaching Social Studies here as well. Prior to that, I was teaching Social Studies at Waukesha South, Wauwatosa West, and Custer High School in Milwaukee. My coaching career has taken me through West Bend East, Wauwatosa East, Waukesha North, and the Tosa Aquatics and Waukesha Express age-group teams. I was brought up an “East Sun” in West Bend. I attended UW-Madison and UW-Washington County, and got my degree at UW-Milwaukee.
My oldest daughter Grace is currently finishing her studies at UW-Stevens Point, and she will soon be teaching special education at the elementary level.
My daughters Cora (senior) and Olivia (frosh) are both here at HUHS studying hard, singing pretty, and swimming like marine mammels.
My wife Sharon is a volunteer assistant with the Girls Swim Team, and she has taken on the duties as President of the Hartford Athletic Booster Club. In addition to that, she is a spectacular mother, and, oh yeah, she has a full time job of selling spinal surgical hardware.
