• Primary professional advisor to the board of education
• Responsible for the development, supervision, and operation of the school program and facilities
• Primary outreach with the community
• Oversees district strategic planning efforts

Student Services

• Oversees:

  • District school nursing and health services

  • Mental health and well-being services for students

  • Special education and related services programming

  • Section 504 

  • Special education transition programming

  • Ensures and monitors compliance with state and federal laws related to IDEA and ADA

• Supervises speech pathologist, nurse, school psychologist, social worker, school counselors, and special education staff 

• Serves as Safety and Security Coordinator

• Oversees budget development
• Provides long-term budget forecasting
• Manages District insurance (property, liability, worker's comp.)
• Oversees purchased services and contracts
• Oversees recruitment, selection, and retention of all staff
• Oversees employee handbook and board policies

• Oversees standards-based learning, grading and record keeping
• Provides leadership and facilitates processes for educators to use data to make instructional, resource, and organizational decisions.
• Coordinates district professional development and collaboration
• Oversees/collaborates on teacher evaluation program

• Oversees the daily activities and operations within the school
• Supervises teachers, administrative assistants, and other educational staff members
• Oversees instructional programs
• Coordinates various school events
