Open Enrollment for 2025-2026 School Year
What is Public School Open Enrollment?
Wisconsin’s inter-district public school open enrollment program allows parents/guardians to apply for their children to attend public schools other than the one in which they reside, provided space is available.
When can parents apply?
Open enrollment application dates for the 2025-26 school year are February 3 - April 30, 2025 at 4:00 PM.

When will we hear if my application was approved?
Applications will be processed starting on May 1, 2025.
Who needs to apply?
All students who live outside of the Hartford Union High School District including students who are currently attending one of our feeder middle schools under the open enrollment program. Once your open enrollment application has been approved, you will not have to reapply for future years.
What is the Alternative Open Enrollment?
The alternative open enrollment procedure provides parents an opportunity to apply to a non-resident school district outside of the regular open enrollment application period (which runs from the first Monday in February through the last weekday in April). Parents whose child meets certain criteria, can apply for open enrollment for the current school year using the alternative application starting July 1.
