If you would like an application mailed to you, please contact Monica Glorioso at (262) 670-3200 ext. 4070. Applications can also be picked up at school from the Receptionist Window, Main Office, or School Nutrition Office. If you have elementary and/or middle school students, you will need to complete a separate application and return it to the respective school.
All families who believe they may qualify for Free or Reduced Priced Meals are encouraged to apply even if their child may not purchase lunches. This helps the school qualify for additional education programs and funds. Qualifying families may also have eligible school fees waived.

Meal Pricing
Families qualifying for free or reduced-price meals may receive breakfast, lunch, and an after school meal at no cost. Only one of each meal per day qualifies for meal assistance. All ala carte items and extra items purchased are at full price.
The application information and status of assistance are kept confidential. Students do not need to use separate lunch lines or let the cashier know that they are on the program. The computerized Meal Accounting System tracks the purchases and charges accordingly.
Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the Free and Reduced Meal Program?
Families that qualify for free or reduced-priced meals can confidentially participate in both the USDA Lunch and Breakfast Programs.
What if my child was directly certified?
If you received a letter stating your child was directly certified for meal assistance, you do not need to complete an application.
When is the application due?
Applications are accepted at any time during the school year. Please return or mail the completed application to the HUHS School Nutrition Office at any time for confidential processing at 805 Cedar St, Hartford, WI 53027.
How do I fill out an application?
One application per HUHS household is needed. If you have students attending a school other than the High School, you will need to complete a separate application for that school. Instructions to complete the application are provided with the application. We cannot approve an application that is not complete; so please be sure to fill out ALL required information. Incomplete applications will be returned to the sender.
If I qualify for meal assistance, do I get my school fees waived?
Families that qualify for meal assistance are also eligible to have school registration fees waived but the School Nutrition Office needs your permission to share the information from your application with school personnel before fees can be waived. Attached to every application is the permission form you need to complete in order for us to waive registration fees.
If my student qualifies, how do they receive their meal?
The computerized meal system is programed to charge the correct amount when a student uses their ID card. Students do not need to let the cashier know that they qualify.
