A student’s four-year high school program provides a framework within which he or she can prepare for a variety of post-secondary options. Elective choices should be made based upon the student’s interests, abilities, and career/vocational/educational plans. Wise selection and sequencing of courses are important keys to a successful high school career.
School counseling is a process that continues throughout the four years of high school. Freshmen will meet with counselors individually to better understand what our department offers, discuss current and future goals, and layout four years of academic and career planning. Sophomore year students are encouraged to meet with their counselor to review their first year and revisit future goals. Counselors will offer a large group presentation to Juniors and Seniors and their parents, highlighting current and future steps important for post-secondary success.
Students and parents are encouraged, at any time, to contact the counseling department and schedule an appointment with their son or daughter's counselor.
