Legion Summer Baseball

Playing American Legion Baseball is both an honor and a tradition in Hartford. We have had a team in Hartford going back to the 1970s. The Hartford Select Baseball Club took over in 2006 and has successes in sending three Jr. Legion teams to state and three Sr. Legion teams to state (including in 2017 and 2018). The great part about Legion baseball is playing so many competitive games in a very short time. In 2021, our varsity team took 2^nd In regionals. There are many great opportunities for athletes. Many college scouts travel to various Legion tournaments, including the regional tournaments, as well as college and MLB scouts at the state tournament if the teams get there. Attendance is important throughout the summer, and we rely heavily on great communication during the season to make sure we always have enough players to be competitive at each game. Each player is representing Hartford Baseball and all the American Legion Veterans who fought for our great country and our freedom.
