Facilities Study
A quality learning environment has been proven to have a positive impact on academic achievement. Since its original building in 1959, Hartford Union High School has undergone several upgrades and updates. While HUHS has been well maintained and is structurally sound, a recent facility study by Bray Architects determined significant needs in the area of safety and efficiency. The Board of Education has determined these needs to be a priority, along with additional academic needs to improve our Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (S.T.E.M.) learning spaces. These two pages address what we have already explored, where we are headed, and when we will get there. Student safety and academic success are key components of a successful school system. The HUHS Board of Education is committed to keeping our students safe while maintaining high academic expectations.
