Hartford Union High School has partnered with Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin to provide Athletic Training and sports medicine services for the district’s student-athletes. These services include treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries, emergency care, event coverage, injury prevention programs, and education for athletes, coaches, and parents.
The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin regional health care network is made up of Froedtert Hospital, Milwaukee; Community Memorial Hospital, Menomonee Falls; St. Joseph’s Hospital, West Bend; and more than 30 primary and specialty care health centers and clinics including the Hartford Health Center. Joining the capabilities of an academic medical center affiliated with the Medical College of Wisconsin, Froedtert & the Medical College deliver highly coordinated, cost-effective health care to residents of southeastern Wisconsin and beyond.

Bryana Kudek LAT, PES

Bryana graduated from UW-Milwaukee in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training. As a Licensed Athletic Trainer, she accepted her first job at HUHS in July 2015. She has been at HUHS ever since and has enjoyed getting to know the athletes, parents, and coaches of the Hartford community!
"My favorite part of being an Athletic Trainer is getting the chance to help others. It is a great feeling being able to help an athlete through an injury and then eventually being able to see them participate in the sport that they love".

Elizabeth Kovacevich MS, LAT
Licensed Athletic Trainer
Lizzie graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2019 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Medicine and a Master's Degree in Athletic Training. She accepted a job working with Froedtert, where she splits her time between Hartford and Germantown High Schools.
"What I enjoy most about being an athletic trainer is being involved in each aspect of an athlete's recovery, especially getting to see the athlete going back to competition."

Jeff Dauss MS, LAT
Licensed Athletic Trainer
Jeff graduated from UW-Milwaukee with an undergraduate degree in 1984 and then with a Masters in 1989. He Worked one year (1990/1991) in collegiate setting at UWM. Then, came to Hartford in 1991 and has worked at HUHS ever since.
"I enjoy helping motivated athletes get back to their sport which sometimes takes some creativity. I also enjoy mentoring young athletic trainers who are just starting out in this very challenging career. I appreciate the support from the entire HUHS community over the years which has helped us make this athletic training program one of the most innovative and complete programs in the area".

Dr. Mitchell Odom
Team Physician
Dr. Odom is from the Pacific Northwest and spent most of his life in northern Idaho. He went to Vanderbilt University School of Medicine for medical school, and then did his emergency medicine training at the University of Michigan. He stayed at the University of Michigan for his sports fellowship and worked with two Division I schools, University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University. His primary interests are in non-operative management of athletic injuries, sports performance, and use of ultrasound in the field of sports medicine.

Athletic Training Student Program
Since 1994, Hartford Union High School has offered an Athletic Training Student Program for high school students interested in pursuing a health care career. Athletic Trainers are responsible for the prevention, treatment, emergency care, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Students involved in this program assist the Licensed Athletic Trainer in the daily duties of caring for student-athletes as well as event coverage.
