Computers, networks and electronic information systems are essential resources for accomplishing the mission of Hartford Union High School.  HUHS grants students and staff access to information technology resources in support of accomplishing this mission.

These resources are a valuable asset to be used and managed responsibly to ensure their integrity, security, and availability for appropriate educational and administrative activities. All authorized users of these resources are required to use them in an effective, efficient, and responsible manner.

Users must be aware of any policies which detail privacy and security issues, archival and storage procedures, appropriate use of resources, and consequences of violations.  A list of relevant HUHS information technology policies, standards, and guidelines are available in the Policy Directory on the right side.

The purpose of all information technology policies is:

  • to safeguard the integrity of computers, networks, and data at Hartford Union High School;
  • to ensure that use of electronic communications complies with local, state, and federal policies;
  • to protect Hartford Union High School against damaging legal consequences.
