Hartford Union High School will be offering options for credit recovery, content readiness, and work ahead courses for credit during Summer 2010. Students planning on attending summer school are allowed only one absence due to the structure and timeframe of summer school.
HUHS reserves the right to cancel any summer school course due to low enrollment, lack of staffing, or facility conflicts. Due to the popularity of our freshmen summer offerings during preregistration and to provide a fair and equitable enrollment process, we will be using a lottery process sign-up should the summer school registration enrollments yield the same high numbers.
Lottery Process: The order in which a registration form was received does NOT provide priority in the lottery process. All registrations received by 3 PM on Friday, February 26, will have an equal opportunity in the lottery. We will draw for course selections based upon the largest enrollments in those over capacity. Those students selected for one course will not be eligible for another course which is above capacity. Students may take another course if that course does not require a lottery process. Example: If a student registered for both PE I and Focus IT/Freshman Health and both were over capacity, the student could only be selected for one of the courses. However, if Intro to TEE were not at capacity, the student would also be able to register for this course, as long as the times offered did not conflict.
Registration forms for work ahead and readiness credit courses are due on Friday, February 26, 2010, @ 3 PM.
Registration forms for credit recovery courses are due onTuesday, June 1, 2010, @ 3 PM. Registration forms will be timestamped should we exceed the capacity for any course.
Registration forms can be mailed to or dropped off in the Main Office.
