Co-Curricular Office

Participation in Hartford Union High School co-curricular activities are an integral part of the HUHS curriculum, which is a privilege and should elicit great pride in both the student and his/her family. While our number one goal as a school district is to provide a sound academic experience for all of our students, co-curricular activities provide unique opportunities for students to promote their mental, physical, social, and emotional development.

2013-2014 Co-Curricular Forms

To participate in co-curricular WIAA sports the following must be turned in PRIOR to the first day of practice (you will not be able to practice without all 5 items taken care of)

1. Current WIAA Physical-Clearance Form

(Must be on WIAA Physical paperwork from the www.huhs.org/cocurricular webpage. Four page form, “Clearance form” is the page to be turn in to co-curricular office. Please print form from HUHS website, do not rely on your doctor’s office for the form).

    Physicals dated April 1, 2012 - March 31, 2013 are ONLY good for the 2013-14 school year.
    Physicals dated April 1, 2013 - March 31, 2014 are good for the 2013-14 and 2014-15 school years.

 2. Co-Curricular Permission Slip-(All athletes must turn this in)

Please read the 2013-2014 Co-Curricular Code and the WIAA Eligibility Bulletin prior to signing.

 3. Co-Curricular Fee $120-(Checks payable to HUHS)

 4. Attendance at the Mandatory Parent-Athlete Meeting

Wednesday, July 31st at 6:30 pm in the HUHS Field House.   ***Missed the Meeting?  Please review the following video from the July 31st presentation by Bill Collar.  After reviewing the video, please complete the attached form and turn in to the Co-Curricular Office prior to the first day of practice or by Wednesday, Aug. 21st for all fall sports.

 5. Concussion Form-(Turned in to the coach)

(The concussion form is handed out and collected by coaches of the sport.  A new one must be filled out each season/activity)

Graduation Requirements - Revision to Board Policy 5460


Beginning in the 2012-13 school year, students may complete an additional one-half credit in English, social studies, mathematics, or science in lieu of one-half credit in physical education when they participate in a WIAA-sponsored sport as part of the District’s athletic program.  To take advantage of this opportunity, you must be signed up for the course with your counselor in the counseling office.

2013-2014 All Season Sports Pass

HUHS "All Season Sport Pass" for the 2013-2014 is available for purchase.  The pass is $40 for one pass or $65 for two passes and is available for purchasing from the Co-Curricular Office or at a ticket booth during a game. Passes admit ONE individual per pass to all HOME sporting events during the 2013-2014 school year; only exception is post season WIAA playoffs games (ie. Regionals, Sectionals). Regular ticket prices are $4.00 for adults, $3.00 for students, and $1.00 for K-8 students if with a parent. K-8 students without a parent is $4.00.

Senior Citizens:

Hartford Union High School is pleased to offer the opportunity for senior citizens, age 65 years of age or older the opportunity to attend all sporting events and concerts held at HUHS.  When attending the events, please let the ticket sellers know that you qualify for this wonderful special and your admission will be waived.  Free admission is NOT valid for WIAA tournament games and school plays, musicals or events held at the Schauer Center.
