Introduction:
Mrs. Herrmann began her teaching career in 2003, and then came to HUHS in 2012, where she was thrilled to finally have the opportunity to teach within her community here in Hartford. Interacting with young people and working to spark their enthusiasm for literature and writing are the parts she loves most about her job.
Her education credentials include a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from UW-Stout and a Post-Baccalaureate Secondary English Education Certification and Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction degree from UW-Milwaukee. She is also a National Board Certified Teacher.
In addition to teaching, Mrs. Herrmann enjoys advising the Mock Trial team and the school’s creative writing/art/photography publication, Creatif. When not at HUHS, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her pets, reading, biking, and adventuring in the outdoors.
