Open Enrollment Dates - 2008-2009 School Year

Wisconsin State Law allows students to attend Hartford Union High School if they don’t currently live in the district or if they are planning to move out of the district.  Any parent or guardian of a student grade 9 – 12 may apply to attend HUHS if they currently live in another school district or if they plan to move out of the HUHS District.  The Department of Public Instruction establishes a timeline to apply for Open Enrollment; this year the period is from February 4 to February 22, 2008 at 4:00 PM.  We strongly suggest that applications be hand delivered to the nonresident district.  Postmarks do not meet this requirement. 

Tuition Waiver Information
If a student is currently attending HUHS, and plans to move out of the district, but still wishes to continue attending HUHS, a Tuition Waiver Application Form (PI9419) should be filled out and turned in within two weeks after the move.  An Open Enrollment Form may also need to be completed, depending upon the time of the move.  Almost all situations will allow the student to continue attending HUHS.
