Matt Ziebarth has been teaching at HUHS since 1998. He has earned degrees in History from the University of Minnesota, and Education and English from UW-Whitewater, and is currently working on a Masters Degree in Educational Policy Studies at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
Before becoming a teacher, Mr. Ziebarth was a youth program director for the YMCA of Metropolitan Minneapolis and was the State Program Director for Minnesota YMCA Youth in Government.
Mr. Ziebarth teaches Social Studies at HUHS; he's currently teaching Law & Order - a course which uses the Street Law curriculum, Minorities & Prejudice - which explores the social, historical, legal, and political landscape of prejudice, discrimination, and hate of minority groups in America, and US History.
Outside the classroom, Mr. Ziebarth spends his time at HUHS coaching forensics, building a thick skin against jokes about growing up in Minnesota, and finding a sense of humor, which he so desperately needs.
