Career Information

The Career and College Center

The Career and College Center is located in the Counseling office and is open for use all periods of the day.  College applications, technical school applications, college resource information, career videos, and scholarship information are all located in The Career & College Center.

Students may use our computer workstations to apply to college on line, research scholarship opportunities, explore career opportunities, and use the WISCareers career software program.  Through WISCareers students can complete interest inventories, access  career planning information, post-secondary education information and opportunities, and scholarship opportunities.

Throughout the school year, professionals come to HUHS to speak about their careers and share their "real life" experiences with students.  If you are interested in attending a career speaker, please register in the Counseling Office prior to the presentation. If you have questions or have a suggestion for a career speaker, please contact Ms. Schaefer in the Counseling Office.

Job Shadow

HUHS offers a number of opportunities for students to explore different career opportunities.  Through the job shadowing program, students are able to spend a day or portion of a day with a person employed in a career area they have interest in.  If interested in a job shadow experience, please see your counselor or Mr.Dobner.  The counselor or Mr. Dobner will work with students to arrange a meaningful placement.
