| C.A.$.H. is organized in a very informal manner. Areas are established for individual and small group instruction.
A wide variety and selection of high interest books and current magazines appropriate to the curriculum of high school students are easily available to all participants in the C.A.$.H. program. Course textbooks and student reference books are available and accessible in the room. |

| Purpose |
| The purpose of the program is to promote academic improvement through content area study help for the students with a demonstrated need for supportive service. |

| Philosophy |
| The goal of C.A.$.H. staff is to help each student succeed in school. How he feels about himself and how he thinks others feel about him are the keys which unlock a student's learning process. C.A.$.H. stresses the positive approach to insure students' achievement. The C.A.$.H. program provides supplementary help to aid students in improving their level of achievement on specific class assignments. This success motivates the student to achieve at a higher level and this improves his grades. |

| Staff |
| Teachers certified in reading assist paraprofessional lay tutors in the C.A.$.H. teacher must be aware of the curriculum needs of all participants. Emphasis on subject oriented vocabulary and study guides containing information parallel to the content areas are provided whenever possible. |

| Parents are involved in the program through conferences and meetings held during the regular school year. |
