In the 2009-10 school year, Hartford Union High School moved to a new daily bell schedule. Previously, HUHS had a rotating 8-period schedule in which only 7 of the 8 periods met per day and 1 of the 8 class periods "skipped" out of the rotation. Through over a 15-month study, HUHS evaluated various models and determined a new daily schedule would better fit the educational needs of the district. Multiple committees of a variety of stakeholders provided invaluable input to the process.
