designed to increase access to treatment or education

Staff work
in each of the five main communities to build Developmental
Assets proven to reduce youth substance use. We promote
significant involvement of youth with adults in community
building activities such as planning alcohol and drug free
social events. Other activities include Peers 4 Peers,
SUPER, Girl Power Too good For Drugs and a parenting
course called Guiding Good Choices.

Exzodus House is a state licensed, short term family style residence
for recovering male alcoholics over 18 years of age. We
provide a structured, professionally directed program to assist
those persons in the transition between sobriety and re-entry into
society. We provide one-to-one and group counseling on a daily
basis. We intend to promote the character, physical welfare
and usefulness of the residents and return them to their community
as independent responsible adults.

Parent Education and Support Programs are available to
families with children newborn through twelve years. Our
programs range from one-time workshops, four-week programs on
a variety of parenting topics and twelve-week nurturing
programs. We offer a Home Visitor Program for families
with children, newborn through three years, as well as support
groups for single parents and teen parents. In addition,
we offer parent/child activities and resource referral
information (Warm-line and Resource Library).

Washington County Mental Health Center provides
a continuum of mental health services including: Outpatient
Counseling, which includes individual, family and group therapy,
medication evaluation, psychological and psychiatric support and the
Children's Resource Project. Community Treatment Services
consists of individualized programming for persons with persistent
mental illness. Services include Day Treatment, Community
Support, evaluation and monitoring of medications, individual
therapy and case management. Inpatient is a 17-bed Psychiatric
and Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Detoxification program at St.
Joseph's Community Hospital. Services provided include
