Hartford Union High School Daily Announcements - Friday, May 30, 2008 Congratulations to the girls soccer team who defeated Fond du Lac 1-0 in the first Sectional game. Hartford will now face Appleton North in Appleton on Sat at 7pm in the Sectional Final. Results from the state tennis meet yesterday - Jake Rudesill defeated his opponent and Ben Purman lost his match. Jake will be competing again today. (alternates - Tyler Schenk and Josh Bronikowski) Graduation ticket distribution will begin on Monday, June 2nd from 7:00 - 7:25 am in the hall near the Main Office. After that time you may pick up your tickets at the Receptionist Desk in the Main Office. You must present your Student ID to receive the tickets. Each graduate is limited in the number of guests that can attend the ceremony. You will be given 6 tickets. (Graduate does not need a ticket) Due to occupancy limits in the field house, only 6 tickets per graduate will be distributed. For additional tickets, ask your fellow classmates for any tickets they may not be using. VC Aveda will be here today from 11-1 for the Locks of Love event . This is a chance to have your hair cut and styled and donate to a great cause! Sign up in the Co-Curricular office to sign up. Hey students don’t forget to check out the Arts Festival this Saturday on Main Street in Hartford. Come watch your friends demonstrate art techniques and perform some musical numbers! The fun starts at 10:00 and ends at 3:00. The last day for late buses will be this Friday, May 30th. Starting Monday, you must have money in your lunch account to make any purchases. You will not be allowed to make any charges if you do not have enough money. All negative lunch balances must be taken care of before finals. Students taking AP Chemistry next year must meet with Ms. John in rm 117A after school Tuesday June 3rd to pick up textbooks and summer homework. Varsity Baseball will play Watertown in the regional final at Hartford tonight at 4:30 at West Park. Attention all wrestlers. You are all welcome to the Becker brothers workouts starting next Tuesday at Central Middle School. The workouts will be held 6:30 -7:30 every Tuesday and Thursday for most of the summer. Talk to Coach Best if you have any questions. There will be a mandatory meeting for fall enrolled AP Art History students on Tuesday June 3rd at 2:45 in room 125. There is a required meeting for all AP Art Studio students enrolled in the class for fall of next year on Wednesday June 4th at 2:45 in room 125. JV Softball players must turn in uniforms on Thursday June 5th after school in the small gym. Uniforms must be on hangers. Attention all girls track athletes - please check your email for a very important message and remember to turn in your money to Mrs. Lau in the Co-Curricular office. All athletes who have finished their season need to turn in all uniforms to your coach or the Co-Curricular office this week. All athletes going out for a fall sport should pick up your required physical card. Reminder to all students that academic eligibility for a fall sport or co-curricular is determined on your 2nd semester grade. There has been a change in the date for the trip to Great America with International Club. We will be going on Friday June 20th. The cost will be approximately, but not more than, $45. This includes bus and admission. Any interested students may sign up. A $31 deposit is required at the time you sign up. We must prepay to get the group rate and we must have a minimum of 20 signed up. You may sign up outside room 108. Voting for Class officers - will be online from June 2 - June 5 at 3pm. Class of 2011 will not have to vote. Positions were filled with the 3 students running. Class of 2010 will only need to vote for President. Remaining positions are filled. Class of 2009 will only need to vote for Treasurer. Remaining positions are filled. Class of 2009 and 2010 check your email on Monday morning for voting instructions. Attention all boys and prospective boys Cross Country athletes - An organizational meeting will be held to provide information about the fall cross country season tonight at 2:50 pm in room 112. Current athletes and those considering the sport must attend. See Coach Dobberstein, Carter or O'Brien with questions prior to the meeting. Reminder for girls track to turn in all uniforms to Coach Helms in a bag with your name on. Also, the bus for the Brewers game on Monday will leave at 5:00pm from the back of the school. All boys going out for football next fall are reminded of the organizational parent meeting on Wednesday, June 4th in Drama Lecture. The meeting is for both Varsity and sophomore teams and will begin at 6:30 pm. At least one parent must attend. Attention all girls interested in playing basketball - There will be a summer information meeting held on Tuesday, June 3rd at 3:00pm in rm 196. If you have questions, see Coach Shelsta in girls locker room. The HUHS Spring Choral Concert will be held at the Schauer Center on June 4th and 5th at 7:30pm. Tickets must be purchased at the Schauer Center and are $5. No passes will be accepted. H-Club is planning its Brewer outing for Wed June 18th at 7pm against the Toronto Blue Jays. All athletes who have earned a varsity letter in athletics are invited to join us. The cost is $5. Please stop and see Mr. Helms to reserve your tickets by June 6th. Musical DVD's are in.
