Hartford Union High School Daily Announcements - Friday, May 16, 2008 Attention Seniors: Do you have concerns about how your name will be announced at the Graduation Ceremony, or if the scholarship you have been awarded will be listed in the Graduation Program? Please be sure to check your email for an important message that requires your immediate attention for the graduation ceremony. Attention all students who are signed up for an AP English class next year: There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, May 28th at 5:30pm in the Drama Lecture Hall. You and your parents are invited to learn more about the AP English classes. Summer work for these classes will be explained and distributed at the end of the meeting. Attendance is strongly encouraged; it will be one of the few opportunities you will have to speak with the instructors before the end of the school year. If you have any questions, contact Mr. Moser or Mrs. Parker. The Girls JV Soccer team finished their season out strong with a win over Menomonee Falls 4-1. The season ending tournament is this weekend with the first game at 9am on Saturday at Gib Mahr Field. Great season ladies! In baseball action last night, the Frosh beat Wis Lutheran 12-9, JV won 8-7 and Varsity won 3-2. Congratulations to the Varsity for winning a share of the Wisconsin Little Ten title last night. The Boys Tennis Team was defeated in a close match with Plymouth 3-4. The Oriole Netters will have another shot at Plymouth in the sectionals next week. JV Tennis defeated Plymouth 6-1. Softball games today with Germantown have been changed to start at 3:45. Varsity and JV Baseball will host Milwaukee King at 4:30 today. The Freshmen baseball game is CANCELLED for tonight. All freshmen players report to the team locker room to turn in uniforms. International Club will meet next Wednesday, May 21st at 3pm in room 108. We will discuss a trip to Great America, among other items. All Girls track and field members not going to Regionals must turn in track uniforms to Coach Helms by today. Please put clean uniform in a plastic bag with your name on the outside. Also, all girls should return Brewer Game Invites to Coach Helms by Monday. Softball will travel to Mukwonago on Tuesday, May 20th for the 1st Regional game starting at 4:15. Girls Soccer will host the 1st Regional game on Thursday, May 22nd against Oshkosh. Today is the last day to turn in your permission slip to join the FBLA & DECA at a Brewers game on Wednesday, May 28th after school. Any student can attend! Permission slips can be picked up from Mrs. Danay in room 141. Don't let this fun opportunity slip by you! Attention all Freshmen, Sophomore and Junior Classes - Are you interested in running for class officer next school year to represent your class? Are you a leader and a student who is willing to work hard in serving your peers and your school? Nomination papers can be picked up in the Co-Curricular office and must be returned by Friday May 23rd. Voting will be online during the week of June 2nd.
