Hartford Union High School Daily Announcements - Thursday, May 1, 2008 Congratulations to Travis Frazier, Jake Vogt, Brendan Rao, Molly Moran, Matt Paul, and Brad Lentz who all just returned from competing at DECA’s International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, GA. They all made HUHS proud! A special congrats to Travis Frazier who medalled in the Team Financial Analysis Event by scoring in the top 5 on his written exam. This means that Travis' exam score was one of the five highest scores among over 300 students that took the exam in his event! Attention Academic Recognition and Striver Students: If you are unable to attend the program on Monday, please stop in the Counseling Office today to pick up your award. If you are participating in a sport on the same evening as the program and plan to attend, please stop in the Counseling Office to pre-register. Next Monday at 7 p.m. is the Academic Recognition Program. Registration for the program is from 6:00 to 6:45. All students who are a part of the Academic Recognition Program as well as Striver students who improved their G.P.A. between third and first quarters are invited to attend. If you are planning to attend the program but are unable to register between 6:00 and 6:45, you must inform Mrs. Young in the Counseling Office on or before Friday, May 2. There will be many door prize drawings throughout the evening. All Academic Recognition and Striver Students are eligible for door prizes. You must be present to win the prizes! Top prizes include: (2) Dental Professionals Whitening Treatments, $150 Best Buy Gift Card, $170 Expedition Supply Gift Certificate, and (2) digital cameras. National Honor Society members are reminded to turn in their service hour form to the Counseling Office by today. Also, senior National Honor Society members need to submit a $25 check by for a NHS stole to be worn at graduation. Boys pole vaulters should be dismissed at 1:00 today for the track meet and the rest of the Girls and Boys Track team should be dismissed at 2:00. There will be an Environmental Club meeting in room 118 after school today. Please be there on time so we can start right away. Boy's Tennis Team players can pick up apparel orders today in Room 204. The Oriole Netters travel to Beaver Dam today after school for a conference match. Boys Swimmers who purchased a "2007-08 Wisconsin Little Ten Dual Champs and Conference Meet Champs" patch can pick it up in the Co-Curricular office. Girls track should bring swim suits and towels in addition to their normal clothes on Friday. Fresh baked cookies and ice cold milk! DECA will be baking them up again today after school.
