During the Fall of 2000, Hartford Union High School's 225 Mile Club was
established. This elite club recognizes those girls in cross-country who commit themselves to building strength and endurance through
225 miles of running during the course of our season. Club members were also required to diligently
maintain a log of their miles to keep track of their progress and to recognize
the completion of their weekly goal of 20-30 miles per week.
In the Fall
of 2002, we established the Rookie 200 Club for those in their
first year of cross country, and raised the distance in the veterans' club
to 250 miles in a season. 2003 was our best yet,
combined our team ran over 6,000 miles over the course of the season!
