Hartford moved to 2-0 in the WLT with a big win on Parents Night. Scoring falls for the Orioles were: Weston Klink, Luke Multhauf, Partrick Kenealy, Joran Hamilton, Nick Broadway and John Gouger.  The highlight of the dual was Danny Allen's 7-2 win over the defending WLT champ.

Hartford 2nd at West Allis

The Orioles once again had a solid effort finishing second behind top rated Mukwonago in this 18 team invitational. Harford placed nine wrestlers in the top six, powered by Luke Multhauf's championship. Oriole placewinners were: Duante 5th, Baumgartner 5th, Klink 2nd, Allen 3rd, Linder 3rd, Kenealy 4th, Broadway 3rd, John Gouger 6th. Hartford finished ahead of two state ranked honorable mention teams: Pewaukee and Oak Creek.

Hartford 71 - Beaver Dam 9

The Orioles moved to 3-0 in the Wisconsin Little Ten with a resounding victory over the Beavers.  The victory was highlighted by Nick Broadway's pin of the defending champ at 189.  Other Oriole wins by fall were: Ben Schmirler, Zach Duante (TF), Jarid Baumgartner, Luke Multhauf, Adam Linder, Pat Kenealy, Jordan Hamilton, Matt Schmirler, and Sean Fuiten.

Hartford now leads the overall series with the Beavers: 29-7

HARTFORD 5th at

Oshkosh On the Water

The Orioles had another great tournament effort finishing 5th out of 53 teams the this grueling two day tournament. Hartford placed ahead of conference rivals Wisconsin Lutheran and Watertown while wrestling without three starters.   Leading the effort was Nick Broadway at 189 finishing 2nd while losing to the defending state champ, Luke Multhauf 3rd at 140, Adam Linder 145 and Patrick Kenealy at 152 were 6th, Jarid Baumgartner 119 and Danny Allen 135 were 12th.  Sean Fuiten 215 and Weston Klink were one match from placing.  Everyone of the eleven wrestlers scored points in the event.

The Orioles moved to 4-0 in the WLT with their second win over the Owls since they joined the conference. Scoring falls for the Orioles were: Ben Schmirler, Zach Duante, Luke Multhauf and Nick Broadway.  Hartford leads the Hwy. 60 Series: 7-1

In a great team effort, Hartford dominated this years Classic.  The Orioles were led by champions: Zach Durante, Danny Allen, Luke Multhauf, Pat Kenealy and Nick Broadway.

In senior night action Hartford overwhelmed the young Spartans to set up the showdown next Friday.  Both Wisconsin Lutheran and the defending dual champions Hartford are unbeaten in WLT action and the winner of this battle will secure the WLT dual title.

Winning by fall against West Bend West were:  Patrick Keneally, Nick Broadway, Sean Fuiten, John Gouger, Jarid Baumgartner, Weston Klink, and Luke Multhauf.

Hartford Grabs Inside Track for WLT Dual Title

Hartford won 10 matches enroute to a decisive victory.  Scoring falls were: Zach Durante, Jarid Baumgartner, Erik Becker, and Weston Klink.  Danny Allen knocked off yet another defending WLT champion as did Patrick Kenealy.

Hartford 43- Waukesha South 10

Scoring falls were: Ben Schmirler (TF), Jarid Baumgartner, Erik Becker, Weston Klink, Danny Allen, Patrick Kenealy, and John Gouger.  This was the second meeting with the Blackshirts this season.  Hartford leads the overall series:  18-7

This was a key match with the Pirates who at the time were rated ahead of the Orioles.  John Gouger notched the only fall. Hartford won 8 matches.

The Orioles closed out the Wisconsin Little Ten Conference dual season with another dual title as they pounded a young Gosling team. Notching falls for the Orioles were:  Ben Schmirler, Jarid Baumgartner, Erik Becker, Danny Allen, Luke Multhauf, Adam Linder, and Patrick Kenealy.  In the past ten years in WLT action, Hartford is 65-3.

Hartford Completes WLT Sweep!

For the seventh time in the last ten years Hartford captured the Tournament title behind solid team depth.

Hartford had four titlists: Zach Durante, Luke Multhauf (who earned his third WLT title), Patrick Kenealy and Nick Broadway.  Other finalists were: Danny Allen and Adam Linder.  The other eight wrestlers finished in the top five in the league.  Congratulations to the staff and team.

Orioles Miss Out On Regional Title

Hartford and Fond du lac battled each other all day in this two team race and when the dust settled, the Hartford found itself in second place.  The Orioles for the most part competed very well qualifying 11 wrestlers for the Sectional.  Leading the way were champions:  Adam Linder, Luke Multhauf, Patrick kenealy and Nick Broadway.

Kenealy and Broadway Qualify for State

In one of the toughest Sectionals in the State,  the Orioles qualified two as second place finishers.  Luke Multhauf capped his career with a third place finish while Danny Allen finished 4th.

Nick Broadway finishes 4th at 189!

Junior Nick Broadway had a great tournament just missing 3rd.  Patrick Kenealy qualified but could not come away with a victory as he lost for the second year to a state finalist.

Powered by four falls, two majors and three forfeits, the Orioles won the first dual meet against the Owls in over thirty two years as Slinger joined the Wisconsin Little Ten this year.  Scoring falls were:  Adam Becker, Adam Linder, Ricky Juarez and Jared Filo.  With the win Hartford moves to   4-0 in conference action.    Hartford leads the overall series with the Owls:  6-1

Hartford qualifies 3 for STATE

Ryan Katona wins his first Sectional title, Patrick Kenealy and Jared Filo give outstanding efforts in finishing second.

2/22- 2/24

Jared Filo finishes 5th to pace Oriole effort.

Patrick Kenealy won his first but failed to place, Katona wrestling in a tough quarter bracket dropped and close match and was eliminated.  Filo was the lone Wisconsin Little Ten Conference placewinner and was named Conference Wreslter of the year.  Coach Kreuser announced his retirement at the coompletion of the seasonn.

The return of state finalist Cody Zimmerman bolstered the Hartford lineup, but it was not enough to offset a disappointing effort.  Zimmerman won his second title at Oshkosh, while teammates Jared Filo (6th), Luke Multhauf (12th) and Danny Allen (12th) rounded out Oriole placewinners.  Eleven of the twelve entered scored points as a number of guys went out prior to the placing.

The Zelinski Duals are always a tough test and going into the meet the Orioles were without two starters.  It turned out to be a real challenge as Cody Zimmerman incurred an injury.  Mike Tran (103) and Jared Filo (171) won titles as Brian Bagin and Luke Multhauf went 4-1

Timing was sure not good in this matchup as the number one rated Indians, fresh off of their crushing of Arrowhead to win the Classic 8 dual title,  pounded out a solid win over an Oriole team that was again without five starters.  Notching the two falls for Hartford were:  Danny Allen at 112 and Luke Multhauf at 135.

Without three starters, including number one ranked Cody Zimmerman, the Orioles got a solid effort finishing behind Beaver Dam and seven points behind Oconomowoc.

Hartford finished 4th out of the 16 teams and qualified Sectional Champions Cody Zimmerman and Jared Filo along with wrestleback winner Luke Multhauf for the State Tournament.  Ryan Katona finished 3rd to round out the scoring.

The Orioles battled the snow and elements as they traveled to Whitnall for their first appearance at this tough tournament.
A sluggish start after the long snowy ride down, resulted in a close victory.  After the first dual the Orioles wrestled better in each competition.

Before a large Youth and Senior night crowd the #3 Orioles matched up with the #1Indians in the regular season finale for both teams.  There were some outstanding matchups, but the key matches in the middle weights all went to the Indians as the Orioles lost three straight falls.  Hartford winners: Becker (fall), Schmidt (fall), Polega, Z Katona, Zimmerman and in the best match of the night soph Jared Filo knocked off the number 1 rated in SE Wisc  Fendryk, 5-3.  Over $800 was raised by the crowd for the Ryan Lampe Fund.

Hartford Claims 5th Straight WLT Tournament Title
The Orioles got a tremendous effort up and down the lineup to hold off a determined Beaver Dam squad to cap off a WLT sweep of both dual and tournament championships.  Earning WLT titlles were:  Cody Zimmerman (3x), Craig Becker (4x), Christian Polega (2x) and Jon Schmidt (3x), while Zach Katona and Jared Filo finished 2nd.  Rounding out the placing were: Ricky Juarez 3rd, Adam Linder 4th, Luke Multhauf 4th, Ryan Katona 4th, Tom Laur 4th, Bryan Antonioni 5th, Alex Peterleus 6th and Kyle Erickson 6th.  The Orioles topped Beaver Dam by 5 points.

Hartford wins WIAA Regional by 57 points!
The Orioles crowned five champions:  Cody Zimmerman 112, Luke Multhauf 125, Craig Becker 130, Christian Polega 171, and Jon Schmidt 215.  Finishing 2nd were: Bryan Antonioni 103, Zach Katona 140, Ricky Juarez 152, and Jared Filo 160.  Adam Linder finished 3rd at 119.   In a field that featured three conference champions and two conference runnerups, Hartford dominated with 11 sectional qualfiers.  Wauwatosa E/W, the Woodland champion was second and Menomonee Falls, the Metro Champ was third.

A solid Hartland squad earned a repeat trip to team state in this hotly contested dual.  Eight matches were decided by four points or less and the Warhawks won six of those eight. Arrowhead was the toughest dual meet opponent the Orioles have faced this season.

Hartford Qualifies 5 for STATE
Craig Becker (130) earned his fourth sectional title to lead the Orioles in the Sectional.  Other Hartford Champions were: Cody Zimmerman 112, Christian Polega 171 and Jon Schmidt 215.  Senior Zach Katona qualified as a runnerup.  Luke Multhauf finished 3rd.  Hartford won 6 of the 7 matchups with Arrowhead on the day.

Hartford Claims State Individual Championship
With four state finalists the Orioles outdistanced Wisconsin Rapids and Hartland Arrowhead to win the State Championship for the second time in four years.  Senior Craig Becker (44-2) won the 130 lb. State Title, while junior Cody Zimmerman (44-2) was 2nd at 112, senior Christian Polega (40-2) was 2nd at 171 and senior Jon Schmidt (44-2) was 2nd at 215.

Hartford Wins the 19 team West Allis Central Invitational
The Orioles rebounded from the defeat on Thursday with an outstanding team effort to come from behind in the final match and claim the championship. Janesville Craig, Hartford and Sparta were with six points of each other for most of Saturday.  Each team had four in the finals, but Hartford was the only team able to crown three champs (Craig Becker, Ryan Abbott and Jon Schmidt).  Other placers for Hartford were: Cody Zimmerman 2nd, Zach Katona 6th, Colt Allen 6th, Kevin Blau 4th and Peter Hauser for the second year in a row iced the championship with a fall to take 5th at 275.  Hartford outdistanced Craig by 2.5 points.

The intensity of the Cooney-Oriole rivalry was present tonight as both teams fielded outstandintg talent in this hotly contested dual.  The Orioles moved to 5-1 in the WLT and 16-1 on the year by winning 9 matches.  Falls were recorded by: Craig Becker, Matt Bourgeois, Ryan Abbott, Jon Schmidt, Kevin Blau and Peter Hauser who notched his 10th straight fall.  Christian Polega won the key match of the evening by upending a senior state qualifier in an exciting effort by both competitors.  The Orioles continue to close the gap in the overall series with Cooney as it now stands at: 14-18-2.  A stake for the WLT dual title is on the line as Hartford closes out the WLT with Beaver Dam.

Hartford Dominates WIAA Sectional
Hartford qualified seven wrestlers for the state including six champions:  Cody Zimmerman 112, Craig Becker 119, Matt Bourgeois 125, Ryan Abbott 145, Jon Schmitt 189 and Peter Hauser 275, also qualifying was Christian Polega 160 and a wrestleback winner.  Kevin Blau finished 3rd.  Regional Champion Arrowhead had three champs and two seconds.

Abbott becomes the 14th Oriole to win a state title!
State Champion Ryan Abbott leads the way as six of seven qualifiers notched wins in another solid state tournament experience.  Abbott dominated the field at 145# with two falls, a tech fall and a major decision over WLT rival Ryan Higgins of Oconomowoc in the final.  Also placing were sophomore Cody Zimmerman with a solid outing finishing 5th at 112# and junior Jon Schmidt who found the podium with a 6th place finish at 189#.  Hartford won 15 matches in the tournament.

Before a large Alumni Night crowd, the Orioles used nine pins and two decisions to move to 4-0 in the WLT.  Notching falls were: Cody Zimmerman, Craig Becker, Matt Bourgeois, Brad Antonioni, Ryan Abbott, Kyle Becker, Kevin Blau, Pete Hauser and Billy Young. The Orioles move to 6-0 in the WLT winning ten matches.  Winning by fall were: Ryan Abbott, Cyle Scherger, Kyle Becker, Jon Schmidt, and Billy Young.  Winning by Tech Falls were: Craig Becker and Josh Scherger.  Hartford is now 26-6 with the Golden Beavers in the overall series and have now won 36 straight in WLT action.

The Orioles clinched their 6th straight dual title and won their 37th straight match in the process.  Winning by fall were: Matt Bourgeois, Cyle Scherger, Kyle Becker, Jon Schmidt and Billy Young.  In the premier match of the evening featuring a rematch of the 3rd place match from state a year ago, Ryan Abbott defeated Joe Fendt  by a 7-3 decision.

Hartford Wins WLT Championships
The Orioles placed nine in the finals and came away with seven champions including the OW Ryan Abbott.  Other champions were: Craig Becker, Cody Zimmerman, Kyle Becker, Cyle Scherger, Jon Schmidt and Billy Young.   Finishing 2nd were: Matt Bourgeois and Myles Multhauf.  Other placers: Kevin Blau- 3rd, Pete Hauser and Josh Scherger- 4th, and Zach Katona and Clay Allen - 5th.  Hartford set a new tournament record with a 93 point margin of victory!

Hartford Crowns Five Champions and Sends Six To State!
The Orioles came to wrestle as Craig Becker, Cody Zimmerman, Ryan Abbott, Kyle Becker and Cyle Scherger won championships, Billy Young went as a runner up and Kevin Blau and Pete Hauser finished 3rd.   Hartford qualified more than any other team at the tournament.

Hartford overcame a rough Thursday night with some strong performances on Friday and Saturday.  Craig Becker finished 3rd, Ryan Abbott finished 5th, Kyle Becker finished 5th and Cyle Scherger came away with a 6th place finish.

The Orioles had a strong showing minus Justin Peterson finishing behind West Allis Central and #2 ranked Milton.  The Hartford attack was paced by champions: Mike Schmidt and Brad Becker who won the Pinners Award, other placers were: 2nd-Ryan Abbott and Kyle Becker, 3rd-Craig Becker, 5th-Mike Flynn. Eleven of the twelve entered scored points.

Hartford finishes 3rd out of 41 teams at Oshkosh On The Water
Powered by championships from Brad Becker and Mike Schmidt, the Orioles capped off a tremendous weekend at Oshkosh.  Brad pinned his way through the tournament while Mike was not tested as he dominiated a state placewinner from Lux-Casco for his third championship of the year.  Kyle Becker had an outstanding effort finishing 2nd, Ryan Abbott came away with seven wins while finishing 3rd, Craig Becker finish 5th,  and Matt Bourgeois finished 10th.  Hartford got point production from nearly everyone in the lineup.  The was the highest Hartford finish in the six years participating.  Luxemburg-Casco was first with Burnsville,MN second.
