Hartford High School Band Booster Association
Doug Stowe, President
Hartford High Band Boosters (HHBB) exists “to stimulate and sustain interest among both parents and students in school band work at high school levels.”
- Support the band program by providing refreshments and assistance at concerts, parades, and band events;
- Support excellence in musicianship by providing scholarships for a variety of activities from summer lessons and camps to an annual college scholarship to a graduating senior; and
- Support the band program by coordinating fundraising efforts, especially for major trips.
Band is more than a class; it is a whole experience. Band helps middle school students transition to high school life, and many high school students find band a wonderful home throughout high school. A strong band is good for our children! More than that, our scholarships help our children grow in musical excellence, and our fundraising endeavors put large trips within reach by helping to offset their costs.
We are a volunteer organization and we live by the adage, “Many hands make light work.” Volunteers are needed from board positions to event coordinators to willing hands to unload and sort kringles.
Our board consists of the following members:
Doug Stowe, president
Tiffany Brewer, vice-president
Paula Winter, treasurer
Jamie Wolman, secretary
