Lady Orioles 2nd Annual Alumni Game Highlights

December 29, 2007

The teams were split up as follows.

The first team was made up of Alumni from the years 1985-2000 and consisted of the following players: Kay Robel, Amy Owens, Mary Kay (Pfeiffer) Landgraff, Chris (Fehring) Shelsta, Dawn (Fiedler) Karel, Kim (Hannes) Weidmeyer, Erica Burg, Heather (Kegler) Schmidt, and Jane Wagner.

The second team was made up of Alumni from the years 2001-2006 and consisted of the following players: Jennelle Schmidt, Nicole Ehlenbach, Michelle Weber, Kristie Fiedler, Sarah Kaul, Amber Held, Diana Blau, Pam Fehring, Christine Nieman, Ali Rusch, Christina Breitlow, and Sarah Esser

There were also some past players that could not play but still were at the game cheering on the alumni players, and they are as follows: Sarah Rosbeck, Rachel Radschlag, and Ashley Owens.

The 2nd Annual Alumni Game was just as exciting as last year.  Going down to the wire, the “oldies” held on to win by one after building a seven point lead.  Although the high school speed isn’t there, these Lady Oriole alumni can still play the game as they knocked down some amazing shots behind the arc, made basket drives, had steals, and could still make free throws.  It was an exciting game on both ends of the court with Lady Oriole pride and love for the game still shining through.  Great effort by both teams.
