Pete Hoffmann
JV Head Coach

Coach Hoffman has been with the Hartford football program longer than anyone currently associated with the Orioles.  Coach Hoffman is now in his 37rd year with the Orioles and has experienced many different responsibilities during his tenure with the team.  From 1969-1976 he was the head coach of the sophomore team.  In 1977 he took over as the head coach of the Orioles and held that position until 1985. Coach Hoffmann had a brief stint as an assistant on the varsity from 1986-1987 until 1988 when he returned as the head coach of our JV team, a position he currently holds today.  Prior to his long career at Hartford, Coach Hoffman was the head coach at Holy Cross High School in San Antonio, TX from 1965-1968.

Pete Hoffmann had a very full playing career as well.  First as a standout player at Chilton High School in Chilton, Wisconsin and graduated in 1959.  Then on to St. Norbert College where he was a 4 year letter winner and graduated in 1963.  Pete Hoffman has experienced many great achievements in his long coaching career.  He has been part of 16 championship football teams, including recently 2 straight JV titles in 2000 and 2001 where both teams went undefeated.  A 21 game winning streak, and in 1998 he was named WFCA Assistant Coach of the Year. However I believe that Coach Hoffman feels that his greatest achievement was coaching all three of his sons (Matt, Ben, and Greg) during their high school careers.  He currently resides in Hartford with his wife Micki.
