The Orioles faced a bit of a scare Friday night at Gib Mahr Field when unbeaten and untested Watertown came to town. The Orioles were plagued with turnovers and headed to the break tied with the Goslings 14-14. Hartford was able to muster the only points of the second half to escape with a 24-14 victory. After a rocky first half, QB Zach Christopherson hooked up with standout WR Paul Pridemore for a deep touchdown. But it wasn't until a 33 yard field goal from rock solid kicker Jesse Mueller that the Orioles could breathe easy. Aside from a couple of big plays by the Goslings, the Oriole defense was again rock solid. Standout defensive end Nick Holstine proved to be an unstoppable force for Watertown. Hartford moved into a tie for first place in the Little Ten with defending champion Wisconsin Lutheran with the victory.
