The Hartford Varsity Reserve team has developed a flair for the dramatic this season and they pulled out another nail biter by the tune of 8-0 over West Bend East Monday night in West Bend. The game was a complete defensive struggle with neither team breaking the 0-0 deadlock as they headed into the locker room. In the second half Hartford was finally able to mount a drive as Pat Kenealy found Ryan Giesen for some big gains and eventually hit Kyle Martin for the score. Travis Frazier ran in the two point conversion and Hartford went up 8-0. The Suns did not take this lying down, however, and moved the ball steadily on the Oriole defense throughout the half. A big interception in the end zone by Luke Vogds and a fumble cause/recovery by Joe Bertling where he literally stole the ball from the East running back helped to solidfy the huge Hartford win. The Orioles Varsity Reserve squad moves to 3-0 on the year and travels to Cedarburg next week to take on the Bulldogs at 6:00 Monday night.
