A change in schedule and could not phase the Hartford Varsity Reserve squad as they beat Cedarburg by a count of 12-6 as the game was called early in the second half due to inclement weather. Hartford was originally scheduled to play Beaver Dam this week, but the Beavers cancelled the game and the Orioles were left scrambling to find a game. Thankfully the Bulldogs of Cedarburg obliged and gave the VR squad another chance to improve.

Cedarburg opened the scoring on their first drive, but the Orioles responded on their initial possession on a TD pass from Pat Kenealy to Kyle Martin. After going into the half deadlocked at 6, Hartford opened the playbook and drove down the field with some trickery. Two "hitch and pitch" plays set up a first and goal and on the third play Kenealy found Scott Kettner. Kettner was the star of the game as he made many big catches including a phenomenal one handed catch at one point. The Orioles VR squad improves to 4-0 with the win and will return to the friendly confines of Gib Mahr Field next week against rival Germantown.
