The mission of the Teaching and Learning Department at Hartford Union High School is to increase student achievement as defined in the district's strategic plan.  The Teaching and Learning and Department facilitates the design and implementation of curriculum, instruction, and assessment. In addition, the department supports the district staff development program; the supervision and evaluation system; district, state, and national assessments; and other initiatives related to teaching and learning.

Director of Teaching, Learning, and Technology - Lisa Olson

Lisa Olson Ms. Olson began her career at HUHS in 1992 as a classroom teacher. She received her bachelor's degree from UW-Eau Claire, her master's degree from UW-Whitewater, and is currently pursuing her Ph.D.
at Cardinal Stritch University.  She has served as a curriculum specialist for the Department of Public Instruction and is a National Board Certified Teacher. Ms. Olson served as the Supervisor of Technology Services at HUHS prior to beginning her role as Director of TLT.

Ms. Boyer started her career at HUHS in July of 2008.  Her prior experience includes working in the West Bend School District at the high school level and Hartford Jt. #1 School District at the elementary level as the Administrative Assistant to the Principal. Diane Boyer
