What are the Graduation Requirements?

Each student will have an Individual Graduation Plan which will consist of the following requirements to earn a Hartford Union High School diploma.

The student will:

Attend school each day
(3 hours per day - 15 hours total per week)

Perform 40 hours of community service learning
(10 hours per quarter)

Maintain steady part-time employment

Create an individual portfolio

Pass each of the required GED subtests with 500 average

Complete competency demonstrations are required

Successfully complete a career awareness/employability skills class

Act in a safe and healthy manner at all times

Participate in all field trips and guest speakers

Compose a Graduation Thesis

Demonstrate at least 90% attendance per semester

Present graduation project to parents, Oriole Academy staff, counselor/case manager, District Administrator, a School Board representative(s) and student invited guest(s).
